Fat bikes are quite similar to regular bikes, but have much wider rims and larger tires that provide enough support to ride on snow or sand. Fat bikes are especially suitable for winter cycling. With wide tires, you can easily float on top of the snow and make your way through the winter.
This single-wall carbon fiber fat bike rim, the Xiphias 85, was designed and developed in 2016. It is super light, weighing only 535g. We named it Xiphias due to its lightweight feature. Its design concept draws on our well-known Wild Dragon double-wall fat bike rim. It is strong due to the stable construction of its triangular cross-section. The profile drawing is shown below.
The tire size for this model of rim is recommended at 3.8" ~ 5.0". The tire pressure is recommended at 6 ~ 19 psi.
