Introduction

In the year of 2015 we designed and developed the RM27, RM30, AM35 and AM40 series of carbon fiber mountain rims. These four mountain rims incorporate aerodynamic design concepts, which are beautiful in appearance and extremely strong. While, because of its unique rounded design, it is difficult to reduce the weight. Nonetheless, they have remained a user favorite mountain rims over the years and have become a classic mountain rim range of NEXTIE's. The RM series and AM series have become the proud products of NEXTIE. They are the starting point for our progressive development and production of lighter and stronger carbon fiber mountain bike rims

This rim could be used for XC (Cross Country), AM (All Mountain), Trail and Enduro riding. The tire size for this model of rim is recommended at 1.6" ~ 2.1". The tire pressure is recommended at 27 ~ 45psi.

After folding bending a set of crests out of true almost every other ride, and eventually splitting it the rim down the middle, I knew I had to upgrade. Carbon is expensive, but with a little research I came upon NEXTIE. I opted for the 30mm rim for my agressive riding/racing XC. My local shop built them up, and I have about 1,500 miles on them so far. They've been upbreakable, stiffness is unmatched compared to alumn. I always get compliments on the wheels (opted for an Orange OL logo) and people always think I'm running plus size because the way the rim spreads out my 2.35 tires. Side note: it took about 30 days from ordering to the package being on my doorstep. Worth the wait. 10/10 I recommend this brand and wheel.

bought 2nd hand, ridden hard for a year on my Enduro 29, and they are flawless. I did OTB and a stick was caught up in the wheel, breaking a spoke. As soon as I put a new one in and tensioned it the rim was back to true. Stiff without being too stiff like a certain other brand that I don't envy, if you get my meaning. Best upgrade I ever did to my bike. I can run lower pressures in my tire and still push and pump the bike through tight bermed corners. Would highly recommend, even if it was priced higher. At this price is a complete no-brainer.

6 months of some pretty full on riding and I gotta say I am very impressed with these rims. I regularly ride around some of the more challenging MTB trails here in Wellington New Zealand, including a few practice laps and a 2hr:53m race day Karapoti 50k. On one of my Karapoti practice laps I hit a really bad rock that made a sickening bang and I thought "oh shit" there goes my rim, but apart from my tyre being severely punctured there was hardly a mark on the rim. I had great communication from Brian Hsia during the time of my purchase and as the rims were being built up. Thanks NEXTIE for making great affordable carbon rims! I would happily buy from these guys again in the future.
