Introduction

In the year of 2015 we designed and developed the RM27, RM30, AM35 and AM40 series of carbon fiber mountain rims. These four mountain rims incorporate aerodynamic design concepts, which are beautiful in appearance and extremely strong. While, because of its unique rounded design, it is difficult to reduce the weight. Nonetheless, they have remained a user favorite mountain rims over the years and have become a classic mountain rim range of NEXTIE's. The RM series and AM series have become the proud products of NEXTIE. They are the starting point for our progressive development and production of lighter and stronger carbon fiber mountain bike rims

My first one had a split rim shoulder after 20km on a XC track. Might hit a rock, who knows. Now 2 months later in a bike park in the first mellow rock garden and the front rim has a split shoulder. The rear has a foam tire insert, the front didn't. Never the less I'm fed up with minor breakage and replacing rims every two month. Cool light rim for XC and posing but not really for shredding since I didn't even get to the shredding part. The shoulders are to thing, its just a aluminium rim copy but carbon needs a different design.

This is the first carbon set I ever made. They not only look cool but they ride really well. I use them no for over two years in a enduro emtb, together with their Rollingstar mtb hubs (1 gen). They are a bit heavy in comparison with some others, but this is no issue with a emtb. Hubs are also flawless.

Great rims and great service. I am currently ordering my second set of Nextie 35mm rims, as I sold my last set with that bike. These lace up very true and give a solid predictable ride. I have two years of hard riding on my last set that held up to big drops and seriously rocky terrain with only scratches to show. The Nextie 35mm AM held up 2x better than their overpriced competitors. I recommend using nipple washers and Sapim Laser spokes for an amazing ride. I will continue to buy Nextie for all of my new bike builds.
