[GR] 650B Gravel Rim 45mm

Unbelievably stiff. I knew that making a wheel smaller, wider, and deeper were all factors in stiffness, but these things are insane. Running these with CX-Ray spokes and some Stans Neo Ultimate hubs, with some 38mm Gravelkings on there, tubeless. At 40 psi they feel faster than any road wheelset I've used. Seem almost exactly like the Zipp aero 650b wheelset but cost 1/4 as much if you build yourself and look for bargains. Highly recommended!

Built to a set of Stans hubs and DT Brass nips + CX-Ray spokes, came out around 1600g with valves and tape. Really the only deep 650b option out here for just rims, and complete wheel builds like these from Reynolds, Hunt, etc cost much much more. Stiffer than any rim I've built before. The depth for sure helps. Built with nipple washers and haven't had to true them once since building, even after thousands of miles of gravel and singletrack. Unique, fast, light, cheap wheels that turn heads, what's not to like?

I absolutely love these rims. I built them up with Dt Swiss 350 OEM hubs in silver and Sapim D-Light spokes and DT Swiss Squorx brass nipples. They came in at around 1500gr. They are stiff and strong and ride like a dream. I also own a pair of the 700C version (which seems to have been discontinued). I can highly recommend them.
